The Opportunity

This newly created role responsible for leading and executing content distribution strategies across new media platforms and developing new digital business opportunities.

The role requires comprehensive knowledge of the digital content businesses, existing and emerging platforms, business models, and potential growth drivers for the space.

Reporting to the CEO the Director will focus on the development of a comprehensive distribution strategy for dubdub content, as well as spearhead strategic content and distribution partnerships for dubdub across digital and social platforms, mobile, OTT, and connected devices. S/He must be able to adapt in a changing industry and be able to pivot quickly as the content consumption and distribution landscapes evolve.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop a strategic distribution growth plan for dubdub content with a primary focus on emerging platforms
  • Explore and optimize new media business models and partnerships with key business partners in non-linear TV channels, i.e., digital, social, mobile platforms, etc.
  • Negotiate and manage deals through execution, working in partnership with legal counsels
  • Work collaboratively across dubdub to align on strategic distribution plans and leverage lucrative partnerships
  • Interface closely with Content teams, Finance, Global Partnerships, and Distribution to align on strategic goals
  • Understand industry trends and shifts to evaluate impact to existing new media business and opportunities for growth

Qualifications:

  • 5-7 years in Digital Media, Business Development, Distribution
  • Strong negotiating skills
  • Strong understanding of new digital media space and content distribution
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, motivated, efficient, flexible
  • Ability to succeed in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
  • Strong communicator with solid relationship-building skills and ability to interface with cross-function teams and senior executives
  • Track record of making an impact on business growth

Required Education

  • Bachelor’s degree; MBA a plus
